Communication

Our communication model is designed to reduce errors, eliminate phone tag, and provide documented, thoughtful responses.

  • Healthcare conversations often involve important details, when these are communicated verbally, things can be misheard or forgotten.
    With secure messaging:

    • You have written instructions to refer back to.

    • Nothing gets lost in voicemail.

    • There’s no phone tag.

    • You can send your message when it’s convenient for you.

    • We can review your chart carefully before responding.

This allows us to give you thoughtful, thorough answers — not rushed ones.

  • When we use messaging instead of phone calls:

    • We can help multiple patients at once.

    • We can triage urgent issues appropriately.

    • We can respond between patient visits.

    • We reduce unnecessary delays.

Our goal is not to create distance — it’s to create clarity and efficiency.

  • While n1 Health & Wellness PLLC does not provide routine care via phone, we do maintain an answering service.

    If you call our office:

    • You will reach a secure medical answering service.

    • The service will collect your name, date of birth, and the nature of your concern.

    • Your message is then relayed directly to the appropriate member of our care team.

    • A team member will respond through your secure messaging portal, text, or email.

This system ensures that your concern is properly documented, directed, and reviewed within your medical record before a response is provided.

Why We Use an Answering Service

The answering service allows us to:

    • Capture accurate information without voicemail distortion

    • Ensure messages are routed to the correct department (clinical, billing, scheduling, etc.)

    • Maintain proper documentation for medical and legal purposes

    • Avoid phone tag and missed calls

    • Prioritize urgent matters appropriately

Rather than interrupting patient visits to answer live calls, this structure allows our providers to remain fully focused during appointments while still ensuring that all messages are received and triaged.

    Important to Know

    • The answering service does not provide medical advice.

    • They cannot schedule appointments or make clinical decisions.

    • They serve strictly as a secure message relay system.

Your Safety Matters

We use secure, documented communication to reduce errors and ensure your care is accurately reflected in your medical record.

Our practice is not structured as a call-based triage center and does not provide continuous real-time phone monitoring. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or seek immediate in-person care. Messaging is not monitored continuously and should not be used for urgent life-threatening concerns. Electronic communication is reviewed during designated clinical hours.

We believe this approach allows us to provide safer, more thoughtful care while respecting your time.
